ADHD Conclusions
Today, my brother was being a nuisance, interrupting my story while I rehearsed for a play and, jokingly, I told him he should probably go see a therapist because of his incapability to focus and to get his attention span checked. Brightly, he responded, “You know, I really don’t believe in therapists. I think it’s a waste of college. I mean, all they do is ask you how you’re doing in school, and how do you feel about taking Ritalin. When mom made me go see Luis, he just asked me dumb questions and I said “I feel fine, whatever.” I think if someone has a problem, it’s retarded to have to depend on someone else to solve it for you. Laaaaaame.” I told him he should write a book about it, and got him started on how modern literature has “lost its magic”. But that’s a story for another day.
